John Alonso, Managing Member of State Tax Advisors, has been working in the state and local tax field since 1989. Mr. Alonso worked as a senior state tax auditor for more than five years before moving into consulting. After leaving state government, Mr. Alonso joined a national consulting firm as a tax manager and then started his own consulting practice in early 1996. Mr. Alonso has experience in working with companies in virtually all industries and has consulted companies from small locally owned family operations to fortune 100 companies. Mr. Alonso is a seasoned expert in sales/use tax overpayment recovery, audit defense, sales/use tax return preparation and other sales/use tax consulting matters.
